Did anyone attend the EUC meeting today? Curious to know what Shankar's strategy is for this BU.

Is RTO required for EUC people in US? It is not very clear.
I'm not concerned about the ethnicity of the team that Shankar leads, but I am concerned about their lack of a realistic view of a declining market for legacy UEM and VDI software.
Working in this BU has always been just a paycheck for me. I've tolerated the lack of imagination from the leadership. Now I'm done waiting for any sign of intelligent life.
Time to leave the EUC planet of The Walking Dead and move on to something better.
And for that reason, I'm out.

Broadcom/Hock made the decision to run EUC as a whole owned subsidiary. It's not a division or BU like the rest of VMware is. It's a totally separate company that is owned by BC. Thats why there is a need for legal, HR, financing, etc.
EUC is being setup so it can be quickly and easily spun/sold off.

Not true at all. If you are targeting being sold to a PE or VC, then you need to have a full business for them to purchase. What this is showing is that PE or VC is the likely option, and not to some Hyperscaler or large software house.
This will all be being done in conjunction with a large consulting house that Hock will be paying a fortune to to ensure it goes smoothly.

Had a woman from marketing telling us she is basically lazy and lives it and another guy saying he watches 25 episodes of some rubbish a day which basically means he does no work and does not sleep either

It was stupid, first he says that euc is being sold off and then they go through a development plan. What is the actual point if its being sold off. EUC is put on sale for sure. We will know the result Feb 2024? RTO is not mandatory?
