It should not be this hard. Artificially inflated titles and $$. My AD has 2 directs and my directors has total 7 people including contractors.
It’s laughable how much inefficiency these people are adding.

I just hope they change the titles back to normal like other noamal companies.. there is associated director in the current level. it's just a manager. Sr director is a director...all laughable

Don't worry, Dan know about the ED, SD, AD overlap, it will be fixed in November. Hans and team sc--wed up when they made Sr mgr to AD title changes. SD is going away is what I heard on team call.
This doesn'treally sound fair. Since we pay far below tech salaries, 'rank/band' inflation is the easiest way to pay them closer to market rates. If we're going to have a flatter organization, we need to expand the pay bands. Band 6 is about the lowest level you can practically afford to raise a family in Basking Ridge, but it's tight.
VZ went through a huge span and layer cleanup 10+ years ago with the last major RIF.
Now that NJ people are off payroll you will see how small the remaining teams are. Leader "redundancy" will be removed.
Give it some time, but VZ will bloat back like it always does.
