At the risk of losing my job, I would love to be honest. But I seriously doubt this is 100% anonymous and could potentially lose my lose my job for being honest. SO I will be completely two-faced and give everything a 10.

@b6 that’s because the employees hate being there so they drink a lot and then smash the toilets every morning.
F that, I answered truthfully. Don't care if they do nothing about anything. Place is ridiculous. Stop with the weekly layoffs. Grow a pair and do it and get it over with at once. Morale couldn't be lower being stupid doing it like this. If it causes me an eventually layoff, the place doesn't deserve me anyway. I'll come out fine on the other side.
Provide the lowest rating for all questions. That's what I would do.

Tell Dell is the biggest joke of a survey I have ever seen. They purposely make the questions vague and without fail, many orgs have reorgs just before they come out, so the "direct manager" you are reviewing isn't even the one who performed badly as a leader for you. Then, very real and honest answers given have zero consequences. I worked for a leader where a dozen or more staff commented on how horrible they were and no one did a thing. Honesty means nothing on that thing.
I don't participate in Tell Dell. They don't care about what we say and I don't trust it to be anonymous.
I would love to hear some specifics:
- How, exactly, has eNPS impacted bonuses in the past?
- How, exactly, has a manager been impacted by poor feedback from the ELT questions/sections?
- How, exactly, have lower participation rates impacted anything at all?
- etc.
why is this about Trumpsters...please explain
The only people here making any sense are the guy who said that nps affects bonus, the ones pointing out it’s not anonymous.
Abstaining is a fine approach, but it’s like voting for US President. Vote Blue No Matter Who and Nixon’s ba----d Trumpsters will still ratfu-k the thing so heads they win and tails you lose.
The only considerations are… do you like your boss a lot? Or do you hate their guts so bad you’d be willing to give em bad ratings even if it means less bonuses for all? If you give your boss glowing reviews and torch the big wigs, just know that your boss is the one who will pay the price. So be kind if you think they’re doing their best in a sh-t compan.
Be honest!!! BUT, Just don‘t enter any comments. Smart managers will recognize who writes what. They need to know whats going on.
@e5+1jtfnats3 - eNPS has been part of the bonus calculations for a long time.
@cx+1jtfnats3so when Mgmt tell use our bonus is based on revenue and profit they are lying? Shock! Horror!!
Don't forget that NPS is part of the bonus calculation. If its low we will not meet metrics and everyone's bonus will be lower. What would make you feel worse giving a positive score to have a good NPS and good bonus or giving a low score and then being pi---d off when next years bonus is 50 to 75% instead of 100%. I'd be happier with the $ that I can use on my family rather than a few minutes of joy thinking I showed them with low scores.
I know its game. Play to the rules that maximize your $ and swallow hard or just bend over and smile.....
@c8+1jtfnats3 - that was part of my feedback. I was blown away when JC said our strategy for this year was the same as last. We absolutely su-ked last year. Why would we recycle that strategy? That tells me the ELT has no vision and is just going thru the motions
Took out my bottled up anger on it
Same here. Everthihg is 10 or 9
Telling Dell is a pointless as telling a 3 yr old the impacts of inflation. They'll look at you with a blank face.
Of course it’s not anonymous. When you start the survey it has your immediate manager’s name for the questions about the immediate manager. I could honestly give mine high marks all around. It’s the redundant and disingenuous layers above my manager that get roasted.
Of course when the consultant cooks the books they will provide managers with plenty of solace by coming up with phony explanations for bad scores for management or NPS ratings and assuring management it’s not their fault. It’s the drought in Texas, the lousy weather in Massachusetts, the proximity to the Rockies for SLC.
Up until two years ago I was very honest and very positive with Dell. Then they started the random layoffs, reducing bonuses and withholding raises to pay others more, falling behind in innovation (AI blindsided them), and reducing ERG to a PR stunt. Getting rid of VMware when for short term gain when they should have integrated the companies even more was a sure fire indication that short term stock price boost trumped long term innovation.
Then of course being told our initiative for this year is doing the same as last year. I’m sure Lenovo, Hyundai, or ACER has an offer ready to go for a takeover.
Sorry for the incoherent rant.
Dell doesn’t care.
just completed mine.. funny that the ask how likely would you be to recommend dell?.... ummm zero.... i also asked for a trash can at my desk... weird how much that bothers me lol
I urge everyone to answer this honestly.
The only totally positive part was my immediate boss. Maybe if others had her communications skill and empathy we would have higher morale.
And where there is an option to elaborate on your answers - please do so.
I slammed directors and c-level people who think communication is a weekly “Direct from X-X” email blast or a video. Also I really don’t think the best days are ahead for Dell.
I liked the question on the likelihood I would still be at Dell a year from now..
the enps is going to be brutal this year, the worst they've had.
I'm curious how it will roll up, my current leader is one that got the spans and layer impact, they are going to be an IC shortly. so why even rate that leader.
Y'all get too deep about this.
Just let 'em have it. Rip' em as hard as you feel comfortable.
If employee sentiment drops enough YoY it'll make news to show how poorly these tech execs are running things.
The only thing Michael cares about currentky is stock price, and a bad PR release about how awful our internal morale is will absolutely move the stock down because unhappy employees means less talent and less competitive advantage.
Click through to the after Tell Dell survey. There's some interesting questions. One says "I believe meaningful action will be taken as a result of this year's survey"
I don't believe I've seen that before.
I will 100% be as honest as senior leadership is with us.
Why bother. I don’t have anything nice to say so I will refrain.
Truthful Dell facilities needs to start doing a better job on cleaning the restrooms.
I've been to multiple Dell locations foul smell and disgusting restrooms.
It's like I'm in a fraternity seeing who can destroy the toilet
If it makes you feel better to have a semblance of power in your voice then do tell dell.
It doesn't really matter in the end. They cherry pick what to share and they don't care what employees have to say evident by their management choices the last few years. I think it would say more to not participate at all personally which is what i will do.
When results are bad they just chose which results to publish. Waste of your time and exposure to tell the truth.
Play nice guys!
This is the year more will be honest. New managers, horrible culture and layoffs regardless of what they say. Be honest and rip them apart. If the results go public, they will face them backlash and have to address what is an all-time low employee satisfaction.
It is anonymous
first question is the most important one and it is 0 :)
Have been truthful before and nothing happened.
They spin whatever you say to what they want. I will not engage with their tell dell again.
I also don't give a fu-k anymore to improve their sinking ship
no mercy
