VBG specifically has been hosting VP/AVP level all hands calls where the leader will say “we expect you to be in full days. Talk to your manager if you need an exception”, yet Sam’s video and the VLC letter say “3 days with flexibility”, no mention of what flexibility’s definition is. Can this be enforced if it’s not in writing?

If your direct manager has not communicated to you via writing you are not required to do the increased RTO. The email said “after Labor Day” with no specific start date. It is up to your leader in how to determine that. That information came from HR Answers.
Thanks for the insight but no. I'll stay, rack up those checks, and do very little for the enterprise or its executives. Have fun!
No one is forced to work at Vz. Like any relationship if you don’t like it just leave. But you won’t because no one would pay your complainy whiny entitled bottom.
@gc as long as you pay someone to tap on the keyboard
6 hours isn’t bad at all. It still allows you to leave early as necessary for kids sports practices, beat rush hour, etc.
It also encourages scheduling Dr appts in the middle of the day when you are already at work. Then your laptop stays logged into the network while you are at the appointment.
Sounds about right for VBG
@c7 - where did you get this info?
Oh the rto fearmongering....
So maybe I go from a five day work week to a three day work week. Sweet!
3 days with flexibility means “not necessarily Tue/Wed/Thu” but not less than that.
It will be 6 hours or more per day connected to the in office network. We are being told that anything less will start building a case in the background that could impact future merit compensation and STIs.
