All the Linkedin posts suggest that real talent has left for better shores. All that is left to rot here are incompetent buttkissers who wont get any job elsewhere.

@pj - that is simply not true, and that attitude is exactly why Intel couldn’t pay me enough to work with folks that think like you do. If I were given a choice to find another job or work with you, I’d happily leave.
If you don’t work on chips you don’t matter.
You could be fired and it literally would not make a single dent in revenues.
Ok, then focus your lamentations on the chip engineers, not everyone.

@c7 - can anyone admit they are incompetent? Just seems like that would take a certain amount of competency, which according to you we don’t have. It’s like getting an insane person to know they’re insane. I recognize your comment as the jab it was intended to be, but your logic doesn’t pan out. People here hate to admit they are incompetent because they are so deep inside the Intel cocoon that they havent seen the outside world and how irrelevant their tribal culture at Intel is. Stay ignorant!!
Not everyone at Intel works on chips. I’ve been around and I have friends that work for other companies. I also work with many external suppliers so I think my frame of reference is intact. For the chips side of the house, I agree they’re not the most talented in the world but they’re still building amazing products. I still think ACT back in 2017 is what put Intel in this position, that and AGILE

You think Intel engineers are on par with Apple for example? Look at the chips both groups are producing and let us know.
No. And the “rock star” retirees who got us into this mess are gone too. But boy they sure can boast on LinkedIn about their accomplishments and achievements. But those accolades also ki-led a staple massive American brand. Great work guys. Bang up job! Keep patting yourselves on the back
I work with so many talented people at Intel who are good folks. If you have an issue with the company, that’s your issue, but being disrespectful and insulting to a group of people based on their employer is not acceptable. At the end of the day we’re all just trying to pay the bills and enjoy life.
No, they don’t.
Believe it or not, talent wants to get paid what they are worth and Intel can’t deliver that compared to the competition.
After the next round of layoffs, nobody will be left, not even the buttkissers.
So I just applied for a G9 role and will see if I can snag a G10 out of it to come back.
This is a job they are really needed to fill because they have no talent/bench.
I left a few years ago and will try to come back for more money if possible.
You can’t beat the free coffee and Mountain Dew.
100% all that is left at intel has no talent. They all went to apple, Nvidia, amd, Amazon, Google, Qualcomm.
I can't leave because I have no talent and my boss protects me.
