End of the article.

Bloomberg News are today apportioning blame to BL for the declining state of the company compared with its competitors. "...This fall reflects strategic miscalculations that extend far beyond Auchincloss’s one-year tenure. His predecessor Bernard Looney embraced net zero, made a faulty prediction that global oil consumption had already peaked and drove expensive forays into offshore wind". A neglect of upstream. Heaven help his new employers. How BL managed to fail upwards for so long is beyond me. The thing with the guy is that he kissed the Blarney Stone at an early age. That's how he got on in life.

@c7+1jhjf60kw As long as he didn't give his delegation to GC, we should be ok. If ever someone couldn't find their own backside with two hands, it's her. Kate, like MA, is a finance person. That could be the reason.

MA gave his delegation to Kate while he is recovering instead of other SVP's who have been in the C-Suite longer than her.

Either our leadership are being less than truthful or they are horrible at communicating with employees. Either way this contributes to our diminishing trust and confidence in them.

MA said he was on paternity leave and now he has a "planned" medical procedure. The purpose of paternity leave is to bond with the new baby and to help the partner manage new baby and take care of other children. It's like Princess of Wales announcing last year she had a planned medical procedure and we found out it was cancer. The lack of information created all this speculation. As CEO he should be more transparent. I certainly hope his health is okay.

Totally normal. It’s like in school when you have a big test that you didn’t study for, so you pretend to be sick to get a little more time to prepare.

This all feels very odd, like the LT is trying to hide something. Am I just being paranoid?

Hahahahaha they can’t even keep their stories and excuses consistent. I’m inspired to write a sit-com spec script called “C-Suite” based on the hijinks of our beloved leadership.

I can't wait for the strategy update in Feb, considering the mental genius that is GC will be one of the main architects. That's something to look forward to.

Just saw this in a separate article claiming he needs more time to recover from a planned medical procedure. WTH?

He wrote he had a medical procedure. I'm thinking he literally was the one who had the baby. Men can have babies nowadays.
