How long does it take to get severance?

In the document they gave me they said it’ll take 1-2 pay periods to process and be delivered into your bank account but I’m seeing cases on here where people are waiting a few months out and still haven’t gotten it. Are these outliers?

For all of those waiting for final payout, there is light at the end of tunnel. Got final payout one month after official end of notice period.
Now the next chapter begins…

@c5 @c5 Its like an interest free loan, and a final way for Citi to sc--w us. They owe us the money, but dont pay until the last minute, maximizing their yield through their money market accounts. Jane needs to get her $42 million comp package again for 2026....

@c0 my last day was mid March, have not received yet either. Hoping for this Friday (tomorrow). Someone close to HR told me it will be 2 to 4 pay periods after last day, so that means 1 to 2 months as 2 pay periods per month.
