How long does it take to get the actual severance payout, once you accept the agreement? I was RIF'd in September, received and signed the agreement at the beginning of December but there's no information on when to expect the payout

@bt this is correct from a tax perspective as it’ll push you into another tax bracket depending on amount. If OP didn’t get on 12/26 pay ( if that was a pay period) then not getting till 2026 and probably reflected as 2026 income.
All you guys can take comfort that Jane Fraser got a huge bump in pay. This is all that matters.
You won't get laid if you're a 4. Needs improvement rating makes you ineligible for increase, bonus and severance. Basically, you're being managed out so its cheaper. You get fired as a 4, not laid off.
Has anyone been fired with performance cause, can you please confirm? Did you check the option of hiring lawyer?
@by so for low performance cause it's nothing. How about hiring a lawyer?
@c2 u can't be serious, b/c that would be absolute bullshyt...
60-90 days after signing.
@bv the growing sentiment is that Citi can't afford severance for all 20k + employees they need to layoff, so they're forcing low performance scores to keep from paying those folks who are let go due to "low performance"... it's fu---d up really 😏
Has anyone got laid off after getting a 4 (after forced to give kt? Do they get any penny?
They are running the dance now since you disappeared like a fahrt in the wind. No urgency. Better to pay early 2026 than end of 2025 for book keeping
@bc when were you RIF'd?
Still waiting to get the severance agreement.🤷🏼♀️
