I am sorry for whoever will get let go. It could be me too. I hope new doors open for you all as this current toxic door closes.

I've been at Intel for a while. Everyone I know who was laid off is better of at another company. One guy became a principle engineer at lrcx many years ago. Getting fired from Intel was probably painful at the time, but looking back, he would probably admit it was one of the best things that happened to him.
@c2 If you are unfortunate or fortunate to get laid off whichever way you look at it, it does mess with your psychic and that is messing with your life, along with just the uncertainty of the current situation. If you have a plan B then that’s good but everyone’s situation in life is different and you don’t know unless you walk in their shoes. I have been laid off before but not Intel, I was the last one in so was the first to go, not a good feeling I’m telling you but it can make you a stronger person.

I have no idea what all you guys are talking about. You show up to work do your job and go home. Then they pay you for it. How on earth can they mess up your life? How?
Intel is not a good place, it destroys your life. Too many people think they could not make a living if they leave Intel, this is not true.
Leaving Intel is the best decision I’ve made and now I am happy and also earn a lot more.
Congratulations all who leave, life is better after Intel. Anywhere is better than the pompous stupid arrogant paper pushing company we have become.
Just think of all the people that understand and will value working with ex Intel colleagues
Hear hear! I hope you don’t lose you home. Or you turn to the bottle or this causes your kids to become dr-g addicts. I hope it doesn’t ruin your life.
It’s darkest before dawn. Leave with pride and don’t give them the satisfaction of seeing you stressed out. Intel is a toxic failure of a mess. Arrogance destroyed a once great company. Walk away.
