Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Major Layoffs (Just 12 days for the 4th Quarter)

The largest single corporate layoff in U.S. history was IBM's reduction of its workforce by 60,000 employees in 1993.

However, the ongoing mass federal layoffs under the second Trump administration, potentially exceeding 200,000 workers and possibly reaching 300,000, could surpass this corporate record if completed. More to come in 4th Quarter 2025

Other major layoffs include Citigroup's 50,000 job cuts in 2008 and Sears' 50,000 job cuts in 1993.

@cf -- it's not only ACN every other consulting company is losing their projects because of their extremely high price and abusing the system, even Deloitte, IBM lost many projects

@c1

Did your friends (without giving away any specifics) tell you why / potential reason ACN is being kicked out?

Is it just ACN or others?

Federal projects are going away from ACN in the last 4 months for 100% sure, one of my friend a Sr Manager in bench for last few months in DC and close to 15 to 20 of her team members are stranded & are still searching for the next job, remember they are all US citizens with security clearance done, working in Federal for last many years and this trend is expected to prevail until middle of next year in Federal arena
