More chaos in a twisted tale of greed

The HPE acquisition of Juniper is facing significant scrutiny. The Democratic Senators are urging the courts (Democratic Judge) to use its authority under the Tunney Act to investigate the settlement's terms & the process by which it was reached. This could involve compelling testimony under oath from HPE & Juniper executives, lobbyists, and DOJ officials, as well as holding an evidentiary hearing. Bribery & illegal influence are suspected might be involved.

this is ridiculous.

no one is not saying that some execution issues remain ahead. no one is saying there will be no impact due to uhm "synergies".

but claiming the deal will be undone is utter idiocy.

@c1 They won’t. At worst the court could require additional concessions but even that seems unlikely, costly, and pretty useless if the DOJ has no interest of really pursuing it. They may look for additional minor concessions but what those could be other fines .

Good you include links, so you're no moist-man. But a done deal is a done deal. How would you undue the sale of all JNPR for all stockholders and reset a price? Not to mention tax mess it would cause.
