There has to be some sort of payoff, some sort of scam for this to be even remotely plausible. Literally everyone I know at Cisco is either unhappy or miserable. They may smile, say all the right things, but that’s to keep the bills paid. And the misery is directly related to the absurd decisions made by “leadership” who have no business making any type of decision or policy.

@c0 sure Cisco only offender for producing ppt rot. Tac is still the best tech support op n the biz, its is worse yes but so is everything that was good
Cisco is by far the best company I have ever worked for. All the nonsense pampering of the IT soldiers was soon to see push back and WAY to many people were hired during Covid and still correcting. Cisco is hands down the leader when it comes to its investments and now business we are doing being the infrastructure of AI. We already got paid. Blow up
Deloitte is the survey company right? Cisco has new board appointee from that company.. be sure CSCO get rated best place to work for ever !!
@a2 Sounds like you’ve interviewed and have been rejected way too many times in the past my friend. Brush up on them skills.
@af Why don’t you step up to the plate and ask this question on the next upcoming all hands call! I’m sure you’ll get us all some answers!
@h4 Amen! Agree with you on this comment 💯
I guess wfh shields me from all the unhappiness that employees are supposedly experiencing. Honestly though I think the ppl griping here are probably the ones that have a chip on their shoulder for being let go. Working at Cisco (like any other company) is what you make of it. You can be miserable or roll with the punches. My guess is the miserable ones would be miserable in any company because that is who they are. I like my work, regardless of who I work for. On this case it happens to be Cisco. And honestly, it’s one of the better companies I’ve worked for, despite the shortcomings ppl keep dreaming up.
If Cisco is truly busting your a-s, then i think you might have a very unrealistic set of expectations when it comes to work and your employer. either that or your in sales.
@a2 why ?
Trapped employees are unhappy.
Doomed if you stay - resume rots out as you become deskilled (manicuring JIRA tickets is not a skill)
Doomed if you leave (obvious)
So people stay and scowl
@af because you know that the people you've let go don't get to answer the survey so it'll all be happy fun times. the great place to work should also require answers from former employees so as to not make the whole process one big echo chamber.
As a technical employee, especially as an SE these days, working at Cisco makes you unemployable elsewhere. No other technical employer is interested in your ability to create PPT, chase TAC or fix licensing problems. And so you get stuck at Cisco and a slave to the LR saga every six months.
How the f. can you te--orize your employee every 3 months with LRs and be the best place to work ???
It's been rumored for years that Cisco pays to be on the Best Places to Work list. And ironically, yes, many unhappy or miserable employees.
@OP anyone works in cisco for 5 years officially unemployable..EVRYONE..YUP
