I’m not on one of the impacted teams, but I have been sobbing all afternoon. I don’t feel safe in my job anymore. How can aldi claim to be a great place to work while discarding 120 employees?

@c0 during the last round our manager decided we weren't impacted and didn't need to discuss further then pretended it didn't happen.
We personally knew multiple people laid off and had tons of questions.

I definitely feel the same. It's normal. It's a sad thing, both for your coworkers and the fear for yourself. My GBD gave us the opportunity to take the afternoon off to process after our meetings even though I wasn't on an affected team. My manager decided to over rule that offer though and forced us to work as normal and acted like nothing happened. Horribly toxic place

youre not alone in feeling this way, and your emotions are completely valid. Even if your team wasn’t impacted directly, watching coworkers be treated like that shakes your sense of security and trust. It’s okay to feel heartbroken and anxious right now. Just know there are a lot of us who see what’s happening and are with you. Hang in there.
100%. It's hard to stay motivated and keep your head up when you realize what they just did and that your next at any moment. The email they sent out basically says in corporate lingo: "we know you're going to feel scared about your job and you should since we will continue on our current path until the entire national staff is outsourced."
The writing is on the wall.
