Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

It’s hard to be motivated

Another year, another Excellent ranking, 0% last year and 3% this year. I think the only motivation is to getting PIPd and really I don’t think that’s too hard. Just be friendly. I’m going to try doing the bare minimum next year but remaining friendly and see what happens. Hard work clearly isn’t being rewarded so I’m done with that.

Funny to see people with lower ranking receive bigger raises

@d8 Everyone getting the package is thrilled — it’s basically two years of wages, and completely tax-free.

I was NI and got a 2% raise.

I’m over 50 so I really wasn’t expecting much more.

I’m here for the retirement at this point.

Worked harder than ever and personally delivered > $50M delta in wins for the company on deals compared to previous holder of my current position.

No raise, and $10k drop in cash bonus. Share reward was good last year and stayed the same this year, but HR clearly wants people to leave, because few will stay motivated with inflation at 10%+ per year and no raise.

Many, many others have come to the same conclusion. Welcome to the good, honest work, high pay, low pressure phase of your career. No one cares. Make your own meaning.
