Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

This iteration of ER feels like a repeat of every other reorg/cuts

More layers of useless management will be added so those who play the politics can secure cozy spots. Meanwhile, the reliable people who actually do the work will be targeted, unless they’re still needed as the mules carrying the load for others. We could end up even more bloated, with fewer critical roles backfilled and some genuinely good managers pushed out.

@by 100% agree. They should take down all the “richest man in America” photos and stop playing it for new people. Money is now definitely our god. It’s embarrassing

I think it is about time to stop touting this "special" culture that may have existed in the past. This is one of the most passive aggressive and backstabbing culture that I have ever been in. There is nothing special here. May be when Ted Jones was alive. But put a fork in it.
