Thread regarding Omnissa layoffs

Layoff is in motion

Watch out, folks! People are letting go of the past three weeks.

Leadership and HR are trying to minimize the negative impact by taking a small group of people every other week. The massive February layoff had a really bad effect.

The old VMware folks who have been with the company for over a decade are not part of the layoff.

Sales numbers are still in full decline, and customers are not renewing as they would like.

Definitely happening in small batches. More than willing to leave , but still wanna collect severance than just resign to their benefit. Come on bi--hes, pick me already.

Just leave, life’s to short to bi--h & moan about sh-t u know nothing about & can do nothing about on toxic forums. Take control of your own lives & do something positive, spoiler alert, nobodys coming to rescue u. If u think KKR spent 4 billion less than 1 year ago only to close it down or sell it & take a giant loss then you probably need to stop with the dr-gs & drink and visit the real world for a bit

@by Yes, I completely agree with that. Several departments must be shut down, such as the “Adoption team,” which simply watches customers get frustrated with 1000 of bugs in the product or bugs caused by the outdated stack, ops I mean modern stack 🤣🤣🤣

Several SEs are trying to leave, but unfortunately, they’re not getting the job they want. Everybody feels outdated compared to other applicants.

On top of that, they all have families, so leaving without a backup job is a real challenge.

Fish market company. Hanging there with legacy n obsolete technology. Find a ki-l switch my dear KKR. Don't waste money on "hanging there" folks.Ship already docked in scrap yard. Even scrap yard workers are not ready to break this ship since it "stinks" a lot."stinks" from vmware days.

There are people who have recently been "promoted/assigned" positions that they are significantly underqualified for to the point of a laughable matter... only because the team is slowly being let go and laid off.

Those that have been laid off have reported that the package is very minimal... even after many years of being with the company. The all hands are a joke... the trainings are a joke... the group meetings have no content and the customer meetings are pointless!

All a while we are now being asked to capture and report more data on SF and other useless tools. The time to take action on all of this was years ago... the ship has sailed!

"Sales numbers are still in full decline, and customers are not renewing..."

It's why these layoffs will continue, so KKR can harvest some cash from the remains

I question not only the old managers, but also the existence of certain departments. I wonder why they still exist and what value they contribute to the overall revenue.

After Microsoft layoff this week, Omnissa layoff won’t get much attention

It’s been a sad two weeks. I just witnessed the unfortunate departure of three talented individuals.

In the meantime, several senior managers and directors remain in their positions despite their inaction and lack of value to the company.

KKR likely doesn't want another mass layoff because of the attention it gets online, as our employees will update their status on LinkedIn. Many customers and other stakeholders, like our tech partners, are deeply concerned about Omnissa's ongoing viability. Therefore, the mini layoff approach makes sense to our PE owners. Meanwhile, I'm just bored.
