Adding to my previous post, the relationship between management and union is like a bad marriage, two bitter sides that use the kids as pawns in this case the customer suffers with c-ap quality and flawed desIgns. Just taking what they think is due to them at the cost of the flying public and tax payers. Disgusting to see and further they want to put down sites like Charleston. I’ve been to the non union sites those people have integrity the Seattle union lost years ago as crummy babies from the merger. Still crying 20+ years later and throwing blame.
This is not the first time FOD is found on production planes (787, tanker) by the FAA and the air force
Pressure or not, bad mgmt or not, the real question is "are each of us doing our job correctly and with quality?"

No, I don't. Many of the posters here are union (engineering and machinist) and they have been throwing stones to say this management and that management should have done something different no matter the financial pressure.
Well, it does roll down hill. Those machinists could have done their job and removed the FOD. I won't argue there is pressure, but if you are going to throw stones at others, your house needs to be clean.

It wasn't the Board of Directors who put debris in the tanks
It wasn't the CEO (past or present) who put debris in the tanks
It wasn't management who put debris in the tanks.
It was the UNION who left debris in the tanks!
FOD can take down an aircraft just as efficiently as MCAS. Just because it was caught before it happened does not make it any less serious.

By seeing how many people down voted compared to how many up voted, you can tell there is no hope for Boeing. Change for the better starts from accepting criticism. The facts are overwhelming. 346 people died already. You should reflect on this and do a better job next time!
