Not sure about others. Nothing says Happy Holidays like a pink slip...nice.

There was/is a drive team. When the EMC merger happened, team was whacked hard by Dell management. Schedule jockeys were spared. Then the group was put under the memory team, and they wacked the guys who knew drives. One Senior member of technical staff was spared.
@bx you have no real products without them. Before EMC Dell was an entirely irrelevant company.
I guess Dell let go people from that area based in the op's post. I guess they're not important either if they're getting let go.
@c4 If you genuinely think a company that sells storage arrays doesn’t have a team for hdd’s and ssd’s, you’re exactly the type of person Dell should be laying off asap…
@fm by fully staffed, you mean they all have their H1b quotas filled or the roles are now being staffed in India.....is that what you mean?
fishing ...
no team like that and ISG got fully staffed with plans pulled forward on schedules
yes, I know it feels wierd when you can hire REQs you need for development you though AI could do - but since JB is gone, things turn for better and pipe deam of replacing developers is gone.
It is all about sales. If we don't sell, we are out of business. In Dell's case, slowly cutting and making do with less.
so...you don't really know.
Sounds like Product Group. Presumably the team responsible for engineering these sub-systems (?).
anyone from CyberRecovery or PowerProtect Data Manager affected?
@c2 What are you even on about "the ssd and hdd team" you mean manafacturing? Because there is no such thing as the ISG sdd or hdd team...
OP here. Essentially the SSD and HDD drive team. Power team affected as well. Not everything in Dell is sales. Some of actually build sh-t for you guys to commission off of. Was just seeing if other ISG teams got impacted.
To the bung hole asking if I just wanted attention. No you tw-t. It's a fu--ing layoff board so I'm talking about fu--ing layoffs. GFYS
The Storage team deserves to be sacked. They’ve take great L-EMC products and spent 7 years making that range mediocre. To the point that’s it’s no longer competitive. So Adios ISG Storage team.
ya, what is that?
"Storag DeviceTem" ?
If true, I am not surprised. Sales for ISG have hit some rough spots. Ultimately management comes back and says it's sales fault.
Details or are you just looking for attention?
