20% salary adjustments across the board

Looks like health care has pushed the company over the line.,So if true… 20% salary cuts at all levels will beat the open and margin targets even considering the
Free fall. Hold on and giddy up if you work at DT.

@br

Probably not from a legal perspective. But for sure if we impose it ourselves. We all just need to waste the equivalent of one work day a week to offset the pay cut.

@bs Anyone old enough to remember working in the late 80's - early 90's should be able to recall 'payless Paydays' and Temporary Salary cuts.

@bp

I've seen people working for free in the USA when companies are in financial difficulties. No kidding.

@bg In a 'perfect world' this is true. Sorry, but this scenario will never play out.

of course they'll do it. People won't leave, they have nowhere to go. Be thankful you still have a job...seriously.

They technically have the right to do it, but I doubt they’ll take that route, it would drive away too many employees at a time when they still need everyone. Instead, they’ll keep pushing for more automation (which isn’t cheap to maintain) while gradually pressuring people out of the company.

20% less pay = 20% less work. Been there before. State labor departments get involved and audits ensue. Pay 20% less, you get less hours from employees and a nice big fat audit. It didn’t end well for the company I was working for. They ended up paying millions in back pay (even with less hours) after the audit and quite a few executives were forced to move on. Took them years of reputation and financial damage to dig out. The fines and back pay nearly broke their backs.
