Anyone know what the big news next week is?

This will bring in as much business and save as many jobs as CDW’s sponsorship of F-1 racing has…. But more importantly, executives will get primo tickets and hospitality suites for the Gamee.
Sooo tone deaf it hurts.
Did the event / announcement come off to you as:
- Positive that CDW is investing and will be a brand associated with the Olympics.
- Tone deaf that CDW is spending all this money on the Olympics when Coworkers have had low pay / bonuses / payouts.
This is a sincere question and not bashing in any way. Did you feel this was a positive thing or negative thing?
Sponsorship of the Olympics.
Nice.
Last few times Chris had a fireside chat the "special guest" was somebody like the women's basketball coach at Duke or an Executive from say Dell. I know these calls motivate some and others roll their eyes.
we bought another company to enhance our capabilities
no, you won't be able to access them directly
no, they won't be integrated in to our internal practices and sales motions
no, they operate in a separate instance of SF
no, they don't have any experience working with gov customers
CDW acquired a manufacturing plant in Ohio and is going to start producing Flash Drives for sale. big news! Let's all get ready to build widgets
I'm guessing a Microsoft or Google cloud partner acquisition
No, Chris is not leaving, and CDW just made a large acquisition with the word on the street being that it is under- performing, so probably not that either. My guess is that new executive leadership is being hired under Chris to raise the bar on the demonstrably damaged executive team credibility. The fireside chat will be an introduction to some new face or faces, plus some new approach, filled with a whole lot of the usual hype and CDW buzzwords. Then, a few days behind that, will be a company reorganization accompanied by an associated layoff, in order to juice the earnings one more time and keep the stock inflated and moving up. This puts the layoff most likely between the end of June and earnings, so likely in the middle of July. Of course, this is all conjecture based on the sleazy yet predictable track record continuously demonstrated by CDW leadership, but I recommend that everyone buckle up if I am right because new leaders usually mean big changes.
If exec leadership is telling you that they have exciting news to share, then they undoubtedly don’t have exciting news to share. They probably acquired a company that’ll cut into your commissions.
Maybe the exciting news is that Chris is leaving?
Chris Leahy is having a fireside chat next week Thursday and the invite says "CDW leaders will share some exciting news"
Maybe you should post how you’re aware of a big announcement as I am not aware of any.
Might need to understand th source as it is vague
