Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Blind Lemmings

Well, you saw it. IBM announced layoffs and they will hit on Tuesday. Lenovo will be following suit. With no tech companies in the area hiring and most businesses not hiring in 2020 and 2021, I feel sorry for all that are affected. Unfortunately, you all should have been looking for real jobs long ago. People are going to stop buying Chinc-ap. Don't give me garbage about Thinkpad being so great. All HP and Dell have to do on all dealing is "Do you want to deal with a company that exposed the world to CV-19? Do you want to risk those computers coming infected and exposing your entire company to it?" Yes, those sales meetings will be fun on a 2% margin already.

But don't worry Lenovo, the China government will force companies to purchase hardware, never have it manufactured, no money transferring hands, but $1.5B in revenue generated on air.

Mobile: Done. No one wants garbage Moto phones
DCG: Done. The fat bloated managers are useless and only there for lip service to Execs
Thinkpad: Good luck arguing the Coronavirus sales pitches

No layoffs? Well, tell that to the Lenovo employees getting laid off today in RTP.

@buw+156qddkg This article speaks of HP, but has no mention of Lenovo. How do you think they will capitalize when U.S. "leadership" consists of a bunch of bumbling oafs brought in from various chip and semiconductor companies looking for kickbacks, and the Chinese "leadership" takes its direction directly from the Chinese government? Do you think China is going to be honest about causing yet another mutated virus that has now caused a pandemic? I sure don't. Good luck with your product exports in the long-term. Us "lazy" American workers won't miss your two-faced business practices and cheap knock-off rubbish products.

No no lay-off. Read here about HPE struggles.
We will capitalize. Go go Lenovo.

OP, while I agree with your overall statement, there are still good paying jobs out there to be had in the RTP – both culturally and financially speaking, compared to YY's Chinese sweat shop. For clarity, I work in software, which may not be what you're referring to.
