Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Sunrise has been hit with layoffs

I am not sure how many. But the people that were cut were doing excellent work, but that doesn't matter, they are North Americans, and obviously earning 'too much', right LK?

This is ridiculous and demoralizing. There is no way that Sunrise can grow with these people gone. They must be getting ready to sell it off.

How much does your pride pay? GET OUT... They have been aligning...realigning for years now... What's left to realign? Or is it they have no clue how to align a diverse product line? Jr. Achievement groups could manage this much more efficient a and successful. GET OUT pride has nothing to do with staying. If you have that much pride , redirect it and be proud you got out of a abusive relationship.

@bsx+17cDJU73: Thank you for your post, though it was clearly traumatic to live through AND to share. It's a shame that good managers are being jerked around as bad as the rest of us here. My manager was one of the most competent I've ever worked with and for and it's obscene how he (and the rest of us who gave a damn) are being treated. May it come back to haunt them to such a degree that they'll never be rid of their treachery.

That is really depressing. It looks like layoffs becoming daily events in Allscripts now

I know of 8 in my area. We were 50 at beginning of year. After 2 rounds we were 27. Now we are about 18. Thank goodness Allscripts software is intuitive and no one needs documentation to install and configure the features or figure out how to use them. All management gone.

At least they were "respectful they said".

Literally sitting on a call now with our management, who described this as bombshell news that they were only informed about late last night. We lost one team member directly which is actually a significant percentage of our team which is very small, their role will fall on to two other people in other groups that we're still going to have to support. Our entire team has now been moved to another BU and our management placed under a new leadership. It sounded like our manager was given a brief outline of what changes were taking place, as they were pretty apologetic and sounded upset about the lack of information or how this will shake out operationally - which we're guessing means wait and find out what the overall impact will be. Management was able to find out that there are a number of other groups that are being split up, blended, merged, and re-aligned. Management also stated that there were a number of other people let go but did not have good detail on that and how relationships between BUs and groups would be affected. Our team's role is not changing or at least not being re-purposed with a very healthy dose of YET on that, we're being told to just hang on and ride out the inevitable period of confusion and insanity.

This is not following the Traditional Holy Allscripts Layoff Calendar, historically this would be the late October/early November Surprise unless they're planning on that happening anyway. From our perspective, it sure seems like there is a conscious move to get out of certain lines of business and at the same time group things by product alignment which could sure mean they're looking where to put the dotted lines for the saws to take apart.

Still have a job, but really not motivated to give it my all beyond personal pride anymore.
