Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Don't trust HR

Just a reminder that HR works to protect the company first, not you. I learned that the hard way after thinking they were there to help. Be careful what you share. Their main goal is to avoid legal trouble, not to support employees.

@fk Went through this when I was getting a divorce and worked in the office. Coworker said "I noticed you have not been wearing your wedding rings". Then management found out. Next I was "likely have personal stress" when I was actually relieved and thriving. They will judge anything.

HR are like individual attorneys for every level of management. Innocent until proven guilty. This is how they get away with breaking every employment law in the book.

No sh-t, your coworkers are NOT your friends. Do not share anything personal ever anywhere you work. This is employment 101. I trust no one here in this thread. In fact, I hate you all. lol.

@b9
HR is a total joke locally in Louisiana. They will NEVER support ANY level of employee when an employee has to go up against their supervisor or the larger organization at that. A bunch of young, paraprofessional kiss as--s. Useless.

@bq Not so sure about that. Most people going to HR are complaining about the supervisor.

HR is there for the company. You will gain more from your supervisors.

I'm surprised to work with people who think, "I'm just going to talk to HR about so-and-so."

Id--ts.

HR will never rule in your favor for anything. never.
