Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

This guy has a story everyone should listen to:

"I'm not sure why everyone employed at Dell isn't trying to leave? No one is safe. My husband got laid off after we bought a house and he was out of work for a year! I got a new job the moment he got hired and we are both paid way more now and live with less fear. Layoffs can ALWAYS happen but now that we are both at less chaotic companies that are way more conservative with their spending we are much happier.

If I were you, I'd start looking for a new job now. It can take a year to find the right next role and it's always easier to change jobs before you get laid off rather than after."

I’m sorry you never had the chance to be led by Sudhir. He is a genius with the most incredible people skills of any leader ever. Just being in his presence was inspirational beyond words.

People want to leave because Sudhir is gone. He was the only leader with the ability to think strategically and mentor others to do the same. Alas, without him this place is just a husk of what it once was
