Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Pointless Town Hall Meetings

Oh yippie! More Town Hall BS. How can these people even stand to do these meetings? I just let it play in the background. lol. Our AI is not as good as what they are making it out to be. It su-ks really compared to other companies. Additionally, when is the CEO's Town Hall meeting. I haven't seen anything on this yet since their salary/bonus release. Lol.

LOL. Did everyone else see the woman in HR say she used AI to summarize a 17-page report rather than reading it? And Citi is promoting this as a desirable behavior?

I was hoping for something more substantial in regards to stability in the company. Something more defining when it comes to the layoff status.

TR said a lot without saying anything. Corporate doublespeak.

He also made a speech about forcing ourselves to be happy and put on fake happy faces& cheerful behaviors at work in order to Svcker in, ahem attract external hires and entice them (Svcker them) to want to work for Citi.

That's when I LMFAO and logged out of the Webinar Townhall.

Citi & TR are delusional, dreaming and out of touch with reality. Current employees don't want to work for Citi because of the Low Salaries and Bonuses. How much worse outsiders who read Internet comments such as this site amongst many others about how employees are tortured and overworked for peanuts and bread crumbs!!!

Any external job candidate with half a brain will think twice if not three times about joining Citi. Only the desperate or long term unemployed will accept Citi jobs.

This means Citi is Not getting the best employees. Only the dregs other financial institutions don't want.

I'm interested to hear more about the 'managing our workforce' bullet... me thinks that's corporate speak for more headcount reduction!

nothing was really talked about. I learned more about the presenters pastime and interest with a dab of general AI use to in their lives than what features in house AI offers.

I don't think the town halls will ever change. It's a way to sell the company Kool-Aid and make it seem like things are going well when it is not. It's that way in tech. Not sure about other areas.
