You clearly have it wrong. I am not saying that anyone having issues at Ford should leave. I even said that the company is no longer a good place to be, but I am staying due to personal reasons.

HOWEVER, people that cannot leave due to "reasons" are not posting they want to leave with a severance, asking for the "ax". OP wants to leave, just with a severance package. So if OP really wants to leave that bad, why not leave on his/her own terms? Why wait for the merciful God to make it happen via layoffs? If OP is ready for retirement, severance would be the frosting on the cake, but it's not needed. If OP wants to find another job, OP can do it while at work. There is no scenario where the severance is a must and not a good to have.

Therefore, in my experience, OP is just playing it tough and doesn't mean it.

Compare this thread to the other. The other is clearly creating and causing a divide whereas this was albeit humorous is not specific in detail, demographics, time etc. focus on the logos used to create a divide in the intentional manipulative fake thread of constructive dismissal that is guised as someone motivated to snag severance.

Did he get scared or did ford employ militaristic and psychological strategies against them in efforts to destroy their ability to find support that understands. These people are known to play cognitive warfare. I know because I’ve seen it! They are trained in deception and warfare. Even if you mean no harm! Did they abuse harass and blackmail them on the way out too? Ostracize them? Blackball them? Lead you on and ambush them? Exhaust them?

Some people prepared to leave due to indifference would like to be armed with the information to make the decision not led on and lied to for self interested exploitation from another party that squanders their mental capacity to be and also DO their best.

I worked with a guy older than me, and he was always saying the same BS that you are saying. He was ready to get severance, he already had plans for retirement, he can't stand the company... you name it. Until the moment he got laid off. He was really nervous after the news, even sweating, could not put 2 words together. He was an all talk guy, no action, and when he got what he "wanted", he got scared.

BTW, I found he went to work for another company later on, so he really didn't have any retirement plan after all. I am guessing he just wanted to look tough, unconcerned, but deep inside he was reaaally worried.

Since then, every time I hear somebody saying the same cr@p than he was spewing, like you OP, I know they are full of sh!t. As I said before, no one is stopping you from leaving the company. If you are ready for retirement, no need to wait. If you want another job, find it and move on, no need to deal with the Ford cr@p.

TBH, I know Ford is not what used to be years ago. The level of insanity is really high these days. However, you don't see me talking sh!t about it. I could leave, or I could stay. I chose the latter for my own personal reasons. The day I cannot stand Ford anymore, I'll leave right away. No need to come to this site and talk sh!t. There are enough trolls doing that everyday.
