Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Any US Sales offers (core) or packages?

I’ve never been part of an acquisition and I don’t know what I expected, but the communication or lack there of seems mismanaged and unprofessional.

The Core needs a bloodletting. Too many toxic type A personalities that think they know everything, when in reality, they know jack sh-t. I can't wait to be away from them so they can stop fu--ing up my customers' perspective and my sales opportunities. Way too many pencil pushers that don't have a clue how to help a customer run their business. They only care about the next ELA. Good riddance.

It is. Both mismanaged and unprofessional. I’ve worked here since the EMC days and previously at two other tech outfits that were acquired… this is by far the worst of those experiences. BC obviously doesn’t “have” to do anything, but their lack of engagement coupled with the “get out with the golden parachute” mentality of the VMW executives (which is also at least partly BCs doing) is pretty poor behavior for an acquiring company. Again, I don’t expect my employer to have my best interests in mind… but their own best interests would seem to point to better behavior. C’est le vie.

I’ve been looking for something else since the announcement, but I was looking for something significantly better. At this point even if I get an offer, I only plan to stay until something better comes along… and better seems to be a lower bar the more I see of BCs behavior.
