Trying to get Hired back

I was let go in 2023. I was pension eligible. I am currently working as a contract. How do I get hired back at Ford. I need a HR contact please-just to waive whatever requirement they have.

@OP so you had at least 19 years at Ford (2023-2004) and are asking this question?
You know the HR email address if you were at Ford that long.
You are at least 41 years old 18+4+19. If you are lucky you are under 45 years old and not subject to age discrimination.

Give up the Ford fantasy and keep contracting while applying for suitable jobs. I am assuming you are not contracting @ Ford, so do a good job and your contract can turn into a permanent job.

If you were a Ford parasite the transition to a good corporate citizen can be a tough road to travel. If you actually were one of the rare birds doing excellent work, the rest of your career will be a dream.

@OP

Ah to be desperate and stupid. If you're older, you dont have the years for this stupidity. Stop. But you're probably rage baiting. But on the off chance you really are that hideously desperate, please take 5 minutes to be ashamed of it and move on.

They will run out of skilled engineers, the way GM and Ford are doing business - lay off and rehire somebody new after 1-3 years (before 3 years = 401K vesting)
for the last 5 years by Apple syndromes in power.

@e6 Somebody is going to ask Ford to explain why they need so many H-1B employees when they have all these experienced Americans applying who are willing to work for less money.

I would encourage everyone who was fired in the last couple of years to apply for openings that fit your qualifications and experience.

This policy they have of not rehiring people no matter what has got to be giving their legal staff headaches.

So apply and lowball the expected salary. It’s got to be bring them nuts.

Don't worry, he will treat you better this time after you take him back. They would never hit you again.

Grow some self confidence and move on. Ford is never going to change.

OP, it's super easy. Just apply for a Ford Job, get an interview and offer, then everything else just falls in place.

That's how I did it.

You are making a mistake , I was laid off twice as a contractor and direct- always sweeping the cr==rap after others and blamed me all the time. The second time really got me to bones. You must have cohonas to be beaten up and rely your financials on bankrupt id--ts.

@ah Stockholm syndrome withdrawal. They miss being a bad guy, it was safer turning the emotions off and being a tyrant, a prisoner in its own right by not having the liberating feeling of being vulnerable. The most free feeling there is in this world

Company already proved itself dishonorable by letting you go to limit your pension. Why would you want to go back?

lots of reasons other than performance for getting canned.. Being in the wrong department at the wrong time being the low man on the pole..

We had a great manager named Randy and he got canned for a guy named Al. They were both FCGP of the same year and one was let go. Uncle Fester is still there.

Severance package bans you from ever working for Ford again. They won’t hire you back because it opens up a lawsuit. “You were cut but ok to hire back? Even pensioners won’t get this unless very high up at HR and OGC signs off. And that is very very rare

Why? Found out that you can’t abuse others elsewhere? Only aggressors miss coming back here. Come to hurt more people? Found out you can’t steal credit and leach in other companies?
