Interesting post. One of my brothers is a retired Marine NCO. He followed the axiom that roughly goes like, if you don’t know what’s on the other side of that ridge you’re failing your troops.
Our managers don’t have a clue what’s coming and they are failing to prepare
In The late 80s / early 90s the managers with MBAs thought the world of themselves. They spread the misconception that a good manager could manage anything- be it a bakery, a financial institution, or a tech company. Of course they could manage it. But could they lead it? Same applies here. We’ve had some people rise through the ranks through being competent managers and skilled politicians. They lack the vision of a leader.
