Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears no longer listed as a Craftsman retailer on Craftsman website

It lists Lowe's, Ace, Amazon, Menard's, Blain's, Atwood's, NAPA, and definitely not Sears.

So much for the "Real" home of Craftsman. Stick a fork in it, Sears is done.

No use taking old beat up craftsman tools from garage sales back to sears for a nice new tool exchange. The new one you would get now is china c-ap, worse than the old beat up tool.

1yys+150Mh3qY . Your are WRONG. Craftsman built their Chinese supply chain over the last few years. Then when BD/Stanely bought them, they decided to build plants in the US, because they
knew that the customer base wanted. check your facts.

The "Craftsman" sold by Stanley is a Fake Craftsman. It is the brand slapped on low quality Chinese tools.

The Craftsman sold at Sears is the original Craftsman. High quality, lifetime guaranteed, beloved by millions of loyal members.

SB&D was wise to ensure that it's line of presumably higher quality products sold through reputable retail outlets and carry a full lifetime warranty for the most part. The Cra!sman line that is - when in stock - offered at Sears and Kmart are even cheaper knockoffs. And even if they said that had a full lifetime warranty, Sears and Kmart's lifetime is months.

  • "No one with an ounce of sense should ever loan to Eddie at anything less than 1000% interest rate with collateral secured 100% and in possession".......

@bkh+150Mh3qY : Unfortunately, there are still some vendors, who haven't learned and are making the same mistakes again with no secured collateral from their buyers.

Did they ever settle that lawsuit about the "real home?" Maybe out of court, probably.

You are late to the game. Sears was removed from the Craftsman website right after it was sold to Stanley. And that was because Sears Craftsman and Sears Stanley just share the name but are not the same. Sears just gets licensing now and slaps in on it’s cheaply made products.

Sears hasn't been listed on the Craftsman website in years, back in late 2018 I checked out the website for Sears locations and they didn't mention Sears except warranty. Remember Sears got/is getting a big royalty check from SB&D around this year.

The vendors are all tired of not getting paid. Even after Diehard, Innovel, all the real estate have been sold, even after the billions in loans, Eddie still can't pay off his credit card. They got saw what happened to the vendors in the last bankruptcy, and he's suing to recover from those guys even now. Not only has Eddie burned those bridges, he's still pouring on the kerosene. No one with an ounce of sense should ever loan to Eddie at anything less than 1000% interest rate with collateral secured 100% and in possession, not that he has any of that left. You need to have Eddie by the balls, if he had any, but we know he's a scairt lil b**** who's afraid of her own shadow and can only meet people via prerecorded video from his floating cave 5,000 miles away.

Does this mean the Craftsman Ultimate Set I got for like 90% off after all my SYW discounts won't have a lifetime guarantee?

It is true. Guess they don't want to be associated with them anymore. Also Craftsmen seem to be on heavy discount on the Sears website as well...maybe because they are going to be liquidating soon?
