If Frontline is being moved to JSL like we are lead to believe by the bad management decisions as of late, why all these new Athens hires as "senior agents"? They don't even know the basics and we have to consult them?? Called B2B and agent said "Yeah, infohub says we can do price matches within 3 days of a sale." Really?? " Well I just got out of training a week ago" agent says. I don't know which is worse, having to "consult" with an agent who knows less than my 2 years experience at Wayfair or the fact that Wayfair doesn't value the time it has invested in our skills. Why set your entire CS dept from top to bottom back to infancy? Where is there any logic in this move? Why hire so many new agents in Athens if sending our jobs to JSL?

Athens will be the only USA employees soon.
They are hiring for Athens coz they want rid of virtual agents. Upper management hates the virtual agents.
@bk wow and here I am being paid $15 an hr.
Last comment makes no sense, that’s the min wage in most states, and Wayfair pays the same for agents in Athens as they do elsewhere, give or take a few cents for cola adjustments.
In fact if you look at the open job rec for Athens, it is $18.65 and hour they are paying them
The only reason for the new hires in Athens, is to have a small group of American service agents to try to save face. Also, the minimum wage in GA is like 7.25 an hour. I’m sure they aren’t being paid as well as us senior agents that have been with the company for the last 5-6 years. Thats why they capped our annual compensation increase to five years.
I am pretty sure Athens is both a pride and face saving thing. It was the brain child of a senior leader so they want it to grow to make them look like they did good. Also, Wayfair wasted so much money upgrading and then closing all the old sites, they probably need Athens to go well to save face
