Under Schulman's leadership, are VZ noted hub locations continuing to be a prerequisite for employees to be recognized as being valuable?? Or did the previously defined needs for hub locations get rebuffed and eliminated?

@d2 There are Frontier employees in California.
Hopefully Dan’s only interest in the Hubs is does it make Verizon stronger to have such a binary approach to career progression and real estate strategy. I think it’s been a self-inflicted wound by Verizon along with the 3 days RTO which became a massive distraction to staff and impacted morale and performance
@bh I can do my job from anywhere as long as my verizon laptop and VPN is approved for that country
@d3 I was there when the helicopter would land
Basking Ridge is an awesome headquarters facility. I started working there 40 years ago as an AT&T intern. Remember that day I first started like it was yesterday!
Actually back than it was a much nicer place with private offices, spacious conference rooms and a more lavish cafeteria setup.
Verizon's setup has taken a lot of the wssential character of the complex away with essentially the basic shell remaining today.
@c5 understanding that California got completely eliminated of all Verizon employees?
The debt.. I mean it’s just… Doesn’t it appear as insurmountable as does the $38 Trillion for the nation? What extremes are necessary to reconcile either? The company and the Government keep spending what they don’t have.
I guarantee that VZ will continue a downward spiral. Better bank as much money as you can, the end for VZ is coming fast.
Many jobs outside of hubs got eliminated, while rampant waste continues in Basking Ridge. The Christmas parties are underway and the Marketing Team is bringing in celebrities to appear at theirs. More fiddling while Rome burns.
@a3 remember if your job could be done from any country it would have been long ago
@a4 you are correct as I am a perfect example being in TT Tampa, FL. Where I was targeted for not being Indian and kept the Indian female (formerly a contractor) who hired after me who is a completely foreigner with a H-1B visa because the Indian boss likes her and the bosses boss likes her who favors nepotism.
Don’t think it matters. We lost people at hub locations
remember , if your job can be remote then it can also be done from any country
@a1: where is this change documented and written or importantly rewritten?
@OP: hopefully soon to be eliminated? Coming soon 100% remote work.
