FNA ruin RTO Globally

It has been observed that the FNA teams, despite the previous expectation to return to the office at least three days per week, have in practice not adhered to this guideline.

Now, with a revised directive requesting office presence for four days per week, there has been notable resistance.

However, internal data indicates that the majority of team members have, in fact, not been present in the office even twice per month, many never in the office.

@d3 it gets better than that. Certain HR departments were told by their directors 1day/week would suffice, unless there was a direct need. This particular HR dept logged only 1.9 swipes/person/week during the reporting period this year, which was above what their management expected, but was below what the suggested 3 days/person/week the rest of the campus was supposed to adhere too. Nothing like double standards from HR. It gets even better. My chief had HR pull swipes for the assigned building. He wasn’t buying that some of us could and did work from other campus locales. That targeted number showed only 1.7 swioes/person/week during the reporting period. It excluded any swipes into other campus facilities which you might have needed to go do testing or other meetings.

@ch, the info is literally on the website for the 4 day RTO. It becomes a mandate when HR has official guidelines around it. There's even a FAQ. For 3 days, there was no official guideline. It was suggested and individual departments has leeway to do their thing. One department even skirted the 3 days by telling everyone to do 2.

@bh - where did u get ur info? It’s not in the guidelines.

I haven’t spoken to a single person who is happy about RTO let alone 4 days per week. Especially when there isn’t a business need to collaborate for those who mostly do heads down work or they are in Team meetings all day and have no place to take them privately. Perhaps the people who are extroverts, those who are lonely or like getting away from their families enjoy going into the office. 5 years post wfh and now we think this is better?

@b5 3 was a suggestion. 4 is a mandate with real consequences. Lower bonus, bad review and eventually termination.

That's the difference.

The three day requirement was never communicated, at least not to our org, and our VP didn't see any need for people to be in the office unless there was a need. He stated this multiple times during town hall's. Some people needed to go in to test, plan, etc. on occasion. Others had no need. All of a sudden a new VP that couldn't stand up to the cr-p from Farley about some people never going in and here we are.

FNA, really? The number of Germans just siloing themselves and refusing to share across teams is ridiculous and you wanna point fingers at FNA? JFC.

What makes them think we will return 4 days if we don't do 3?
Maybe they should have thought of this before having people work at home for 4 years
