@c0 Boston salaries are for people who work in Boston. Telecommute from Arkansas, you get an Arkansas salary. That’s how it works.

When you are on your laptop non stop for 9+ hours to 12+ hours a day the keystrokes can’t lie. I don’t slack and whether I’m home or in Boston I am saying I absolutely I work longer and harder AT HOME than the office so if I’m going to work less by going into the office find by me!

@bz stupid comment competing hybrid or not quality workers don’t slack at home and that’s the big lie being perpetrated. I do lord work when I’m home than in the noise office but hey if that’s what they want fine

So when they get their 10% cuts and hire double in visa applicants and you get stuck teaching training and picking up the slack you’ll have no one to blame but yourself for not pushing back. I work way to hard way too many hours to let this sideline me. I’ll adapt and I’ll look elsewhere and btw those saying you won’t get a Boston salary is lying lol I know many people that have excellent roles and have lucrative salaries and Henry’s and don’t have the displeasure of commuting into the cesspool of Boston. It’s a pigsty there and not the beacon it used to be that’s why many companies have left Boston and moved further out dnc out of state. Even Abby knows the states too expensive to stay here but she’s both the property and it’s still viable. Texas is where she’s building out more So when the next iteration is move to Texas you’ll kick yourself for not fighting back. I’m good I’ve got money I have freedom to look elsewhere and I will. It’s unfurtnste bc I do like Fid but it’s not the company it used to be either.
Good luck all they hold the cards but you don’t have to be dealt in if you fkntvwxhg to be no one is trapped there are other companies closer and with high paying roles.

@by Whether you goof off “working” at home three days a week or all five days doesn’t matter. Fidelity has to compete with big institutions who want their workers to show up and perform. They cannot keep coddling lazy entitled people.

@bx again you’re conflating remote v hybrid but low iq hacks have that issue.
No one’s having a tantrum but you logical and questioning isn’t a tantrum

Stamping one’s foot or having a tantrum ain’t gonna change it. Time to get up, shower, and head to work.

Nobody else is going to give you a Boston salary without working in Boston. Party’s office.

Remote work is for contractors who make 40% less than in-office. Read the writing on the wall.

@bk The decision was simple. They want you to put in eight hours of work instead of three hours of work, four hours of Netflix and an hour of posting complaints on this board about having to do your job.

@OP it’s obvious hacks and trolls have infiltrated it struck a nerve that their decision was bad and that employees are unhappy. Keep using your trolls and hacks to pretend but the truth always prevails

@OP they could not defend this decision logically or with facts so they served it up with platitudes and took away our voices that says it all we are nothing to them you can pretend you’re some great well balanced company but you just showed your weak and cowardly.

@bg Everyone knows that “working” from home was goofing off. Half of you are posting to this board during work hours, goofing off. Party’s over, Fidelity and everybody else wants performance.

When the posts are defending this rto you know it’s trolls or HR if it works it should be allowed. Are we not all adults able to work and collaborate and be highly skilled and productive? Then treat us that way!

I come back to my original post. They would like to dump 10% and this will expedite it. Keeps them looking squeaky clean This isn’t the 90’s anymore they’ve forced us to be mobile they now don’t like paying rent on all their offices they didn’t care how upsetting it was to sit at home by yourself working on a laptop not seeing your coworkers not getting a lunch out tied to your laptop like a indentured servant and they brag about their work life balance. Well they no longer can if we were client facing roles that’s different but if I’m now more productive at home or I can do quality work two weeks at home then why break this model? It works we work and work long and hard and this is an unnecessary burden. I was hired as hybrid they bragged about it so not asking us for input soeaks volumes. I’m likely going to look elsewhere I don’t need to commute into Boston it’s a hassle it’s expensive and it ki-ls too much time commuting. Instead of commuting I could be doing an extra hour of high quality work and not in a traffic jam on the pike hybrid is a perfect blend delays burn out too

@OP I used to work for a company in Boston before I moved to Fid that back in the 2010’s would force employees to train their visa replacements.
So if that’s what Fid wants good they’ll get their robotic visas applicants and zero intellect or creativity You get what you pay for

@b6 we are allowed to push back
They demanded we wfh told us some of us when we were hired we’d always be hybrid so yea they can throw us around like the pawns we are but it doesn’t make it right. Slave to corporations not cool and I’m not a socialist but I do believe in respect for the people that make fidelity great and a one sure cookie cutter all rto doesn’t work anymore they proved it by forcing us to wfh in the first plant

There are plenty of capable people waiting to happily show up at the office five days a week to take your role if you don’t want to. Simple reality.
