Also is there any other way(besides the obvious stuff) to tell if you’re on the list without asking? Is there like a file they put on your system or things you get locked out of?

I know someone who had just finished cancer radiation treatment and got laid off the following week.
They have been going out all this week. Check your email this weekend.
How do they decide who goes on the list? Your salary? Job position? Legnth of years? Age? Job performance?
For IC roles, invites start 08/03 on Sunday.
@a4 they just move the date out till you’re back. But you might be paid for unused vacation depending on where you are in the world.
WFR list was finalized some time ago. August will be the phase where it gets implemented.
@ej some teammates of mine were scheduled just as a 1x1 and not a ‘business update’ title with no HR present and the manager had to read the script. Was around 9am. I haven’t gotten that lucky yet but maybe this time.
I feel like I had a business update 1on1 invite sent on the weekend to meet on a Monday morning at like 9?

My timeline:
Manager, May 2024: there's a layoff coming but you are fine
Manager, June 2024: there's a layoff coming but you are fine
Manager, July 1st 2024: there's a layoff coming but you are fine
Manager, End of July 2024: you are on the list
August 2024: shown the exit
@OP Just ask your boss. "Are you going to let me go in the next two weeks." If the answer is anything other than "You're fine." then you likely have your answer.

HR need to prepare the logistic so the list was done a month ago.
You can tell if your manger doesn't assign you a new job or complicated job.
Or you manager rejects your scheduled 1x1.
you're on a list ranked against all other team members. there are multiple lists sorted by $, seniority, location, performance. and then when you least expect it. pow. fhritp. f this company.
I've seen people called during their vacation to give them the news or called immediately after their vacation.
Flush out the invite by putting in for PTO week of 8/4
