Well? Were they told?

Repeat cycle every year: leaders show the slides and numbers they want to show. Comments are selectively put on the slides. Most of the low scores go to the macro factors that the leader cannot directly control.
@z9 So like pretty much every video released bt upper management?
You'll know when Tell Dell is about to come out when the person in charge of the surveys makes a video that is totally out of touch with what is going on.
come on.. you do really care about bad results that will end in no actions? for tools and processes they can at least point to one dell way, everything will get better… soon or whatever :)
@cx Same here. First time ever I did not bother doing the survey. Why waste mine and everyone else's time on doing something that does not matter a jot.
tell dell=baloney
The people that say they manipulate the outcomes are the small group of people who don't understand that most employees here are actually happy.
@vp In my 10 years here the only time I have seen any action taken based on tell dell results are when those actions can be taken against the direct manager of the unhappy folks giving low scores on the survey.
The issue is, they tell you the results but nothing really changes.
Interesting discussion. I’ve been at Dell for 5 years and have always felt the Tell Dell results were taken seriously by my org. I had, I guess incorrectly, assumed this was part of the corporate culture. Never heard a peep about results at other companies with similar surveys.
We have already discussed this. Dell rarely takes action on concerns unless they align with the narrative they already want to support. ‘Tell Dell’ feels less like a channel for meaningful change and more like a mechanism designed to give employees the impression they’re being heard without much actually happening afterward.
Historically, they are released in June
@jt I am sure the real results never even made it to my manager.
@g9 You're d-mb as a rock if you think the "real" results will be presented to you. Why do you think he needs a week?
they expect in less than 5 years run all the business with AI agents, so your opinion will go to the bin, and you would be layoff soon.
@g1 seriously....you have to be kidding. The got their negative feedback and it hasn't changed a thing. We all know how it is 'supposed' to work, but we see how it actually works. Wake up dude.
My manger said he received results today and will schedule a meeting next week to go over the results.
When you respond to it, even negatively, you give the company actionable items to “work” on. If you don’t respond to it, they get jack.
They removed the net promoter score. I wouldn’t be surprised if the phased out Tell Dell altogether.
@bd Tell Dell was done at the same time as every other year
Welcome to Corporate America or Corporate Fill in your Country.
Sir this is a Wendys
i didnt do the survey this year. First time ever. There's no point in wasting my time. Even when a large amount of staff gave shocking results it was just brushed under the carpet.
Not taking it was the "least effort required" way of giving them the bird
different year, same results and yet here we are still complaining knowing full well they don't care and nothing will change. Still we take the surveys. Don't take the survey, that's the biggest statement you can make.
yes but, they mean and do nothing. they are the biggest scam. doesn't matter what you rank someone as, what you say, it's all ignored and those low numbers are 100% inflated for when they present the "results."
Them quickly doing Tell Dell BEFORE the one dell way rollout should tell you all you need to know about how they value it
I told them. I told them deep, so deep!
Let’s be honest. They are laughing at all of the comments because they don’t care. Look at the stock price that is the only thing that counts. What allot of people on here dont understand is that there are far worse companies to work for. Is it as good as 2016 nope but it’s still a he-l of allot better than many other places. Perspective. I’m sure I’ll be down voted and S on. However I do live in reality.
@OP Tell Dell is the biggest scam in Dell history. This year, the results were "too big to rig" so we won't be seeing or hearing any of the results, unless, of course, the results and comments are conveniently "edited" first.
My manager is sh-----g himself as we hot a new Director recently and the fella above him apparently is not to be messed with..👀
It's obvious they do not care about their employees.
Tell Dell is just a barometer to see if they've gone too far. Love to be a fly on the wall and listen to the actual results.
People constantly ask themselves, "why am I here"?
I asked my boss last year for the results. Kept saying they are coming. Never saw them.
I am expecting the same this time around.
