@bs+1jva8n74v - If your team cannot recover from losing 3 H1B's then that is a systemic failure of either your group, org, or the company. No reason losing 3 H1B's should cripple a team unless it was rotten in the 1st place.

@bd+1jva8n74v My team lost 6 people - 3 were US citizens and 3 on H1B. This round was brutal and there is no way our team is going to recover from this.

"Another guy blaming h1bs. You know h1bs get laid off too right."

Right but not as often and if we're being honest do you think anyone cares? Come in and do the job for %50 cheaper and low ball everyone else out of a job with %50 of the skills...he-l sometimes %100 and that's even worse. No self respect, no fortitude to gain it....why should anyone give a Sh!t?

Companies fight for H1-Bs not because they can not get local talent, they fight for them because they can't get local talent at the cost they want.

This is an aspect I never thought of…

A recruiter told him he was a liability not because he underperformed, but because he could rise too fast, gain leverage, and leave the company. This is why companies prefer H-1B workers: they won’t leave.
