From what I can see around me in OR, it's a bunch of mostly junior or RCGs getting fired. Didn't LBT want to cut management bloat?

Its a no go if you contribute nothing and make way over $1M pesos !
Mid and Upper bloat plagues Intel ! Power point and Excel sheet prima donnas !
Lets rewrite stragic plans all over a again and redo redemo the whole Fn projects !
Id--ts in charge !
@dn can’t layoff and then hire someone else for same position. Illegal.
@dk huh?
@c6 if the VP is already looking replacement you have a strong case for a lawsuit
Middle manager G9 here, got ISP in June... The VP I reported to moved my team directly under him... I hear he's already looking for a junior replacement.
@by you would think but that’s not how they are doing it lots of middle managers not impacted and won’t for 6+ months
They need the middle mgt to do the layoffs. After that they'll cut the branches.
@bc they need to show the % of middle Managment terminate vs general workers . They will never show it.
We lost 2 mid level managers. One got ISP, the other will be moved to another position. We'll lose more as reorg and mergers happens
@am bingo
If you have no insight in how to improve the company, but want to cut headcount to please shareholders, it's much better PR to say you'll target middle management and make Intel 'engineering focused' instead of acknowledging blanket cuts.
Sad to have last day just before end of ESPP - could have at least done a last quick sell. Interesting to GL not involved just AM in meetings.
@a2 first step in our org was for the CVP to immediately fire VPs in groups merged under her with the technical and mgmt chops to challenge her decisions.
The middle managers became direct managers and fired the mid range line workers instead, much to their shock and consternation.
It's good to be king.
It will happen tomorrow
Step 1. Managers fire workers.
Step 2. Upper managers fire lower managers.
Step 3. Repeat Step 2.
