Hoping for some clarification. I am a part time employee who generally works longer shifts. In the past I was able to take half day PTO and it still comes up as an option. I don’t get a lot of PTO so this was a way to take off when needed. Did this change? My new manager said we can’t do this anymore. Just wondering if any one knows. Don’t feel like making trouble or opening a case. Thanks.

@bb correct.
That is such bullsh-t. If your part time, you may only work 4 or 6 hr shifts so using 4 hrs of PTO seems reasonable. We should be able to use our PTO in 4 hr increments,da---t!
Colleagues were abusing the Half Day PTO system, essentially doubling their PTO days.
Thank you so much!
Yes, they just sent out a notice to all managers that if your team takes a partial pto day they must be working the other half of the shift. If they are not working the other half then we have been instructed to cancel the half day and resubmit it as a full pto day. This came out last week.
I was told we can not use half day PTO because the system can still schedule you on half the day.
