We have had to download the secure osv app which is basically an app that is supposed to be used for emergencies for clinical field workers. Has anyone had this maliciously used against them for tracking their location?

@b9 Because we also see patients in their homes.
@d6 they cannot make you use your personal phone for work apps -- If you choose to they must reimburse your phone bill which was $75 /mo last I knew . Otherwise they must issue you a company phone .
When I worked there nobody told me this, of course . They only reimburse if you know the law .
I know for a fact the tracking options has been utilized for the occasional field worker who claims a member "wasn't home" but they never went to the home---and the app shows that. But otherwise I think they don't use it maliciously on a daily basis.
Keep your phone in a small Faraday bag (cheap on Amazon) when not in use. It blocks your signal from being tracked.
@d6 yep it’s on my work cell phone
I wouldn’t download sh*t on my phone if it wasn’t Optum/United issued. I would be putting that app on the laptop they provide and that’s it. Not even sure they can legally make you put anything on your own device. (Something you can look into)
@b9 we log in on our phones
I’m confused. Why would your work pc be anywhere but at your home?
