stick a fork in it
Yeah, Fire Those Guys!
Fire Them, Not Me!
@ce The effort to focus on core products means shedding all the adjacent products, which is a lot of teams but the whole issue is that those products do not make much profit. They were CPU loss leaders, as Intel tried to offer as much datacenter sku as possible.
The total of all that is less than what TD and the fabs have shed, but then IFS was where the bloat was that needs to be removed.
Think of this as a more properly managed IDM 2.0
@b9
And yet, from all indications, the product teams took a very large hit.
That's not just going after factory, that's going after everyone.
@b0 LBT mostly just needed to go after Ann's red-ink empire.
He had to ask for a few percent from other groups, just to make it look like a company-wide thing.
And yes, a few managers got promoted to IC and some other stuff happened.
But really it was all about the IFS cash incinerator.
Looks like the total is around 8000, unless they are hiding BB somewhere.
Let's just call this the Ronler Event Day.
Hardly any CVP/VPDirectors touched. Shital goes on.
Nope more coming wait for the big one Q4/Q1
