The executives and AlixPartners are pawning off American jobs for offshoring. They're literally selling out America's future. It happened with manufacturing in the 70s/80s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZTGwcHQfLY, see this), and it will also happen to the software world.
If this continues, we (and our children) won't have the opportunity to go into software in the US and fewer people will pursue computer science. We will collectively as a country lose the knowledge of how to code just like we lost how to manufacture.
