How is RRP fund determined? Is it fair

How is the fund for RRP determined? I assume it changes per team even within the same job function? Why is your bonus not based on your salary? Saying you received a bonus at 100% of RRP when that only means $600, for example, doesn’t seem right or appropriate. If it was based on salary (which it isn’t for most positions here) and you made 60k this would mean you are eligible up to 1% as bonus. I know a lot of people that make more than 60k and received less than this and I know many didn’t receive anything. I guess I wish there was transparency in what a potential bonus would be based on ahead of time (such as salary) Then when you say it is funded at x% would make sense. But if there is an arbitrary fund determined at a later date that is very small then saying funded at x% is meaningless.

End of day it all depends on your leader and how much they like you. Anyone working here thinking it’s more, u have not worked here long enough.

RRP was funded at 75% of TARGET.

What shows up on your comp sheet is % of FUNDED.

So every department is funded with enough to give everyone 100% of funding (by definition that is true every year!)

if your comp sheet says 100%, you got 75% of your target. If you got more than 100%, someone else on your team had to get less than 100%.

@b7+1jmbkh472 - that makes a lot of sense. I think the main issue is how much departments are funded. Are they ever funded enough to payout each employee “75% RRP”. Or are they funded only enough so only 1 or 2 get the expected amount “or more” and everyone gets less? I assume this correlates to your annual

It’s changed over the years. Every job grade has a standard percent of salary assigned for RRP. I think the lowest level is 2%. But they go up to 25% or more. Not including the top top top execs who are on a different model.. THEN the company funds RRP at a certain amount every year. That is company wide. This year was 75%. It doesn’t vary by department. It used to years ago. THEN, your boss determines your %. It could be anywhere from 60-200%. There’s also a departmental budget so you can’t give everyone the max.

Say I made 100k and my RRP standard % is 10%. That’s 10k. But the company only funded to 75% of that so now it’s $7.5k. Then my boss gives me 105%, it’s $7.5k plus 5% of that (375). That last step is where you get variation between employees with the same job (well and they probably don’t have the exact same salary).
