@1jb what difference does make where the office is ? You don't have any say in its location. Aren't you paid to turn up in person ? stop being a big baby and imagine us folks who have to go into the plants every day , 5 days a week

Last week we received an email saying that we were still moving and would be told when they have found a site. But if you google they have already find a site, I’m interested to know why UK employees are constantly left in the dark, we should not have to google 3M news that directly impacts us. All this BS gossiping just drives me insane, be transparent and they might actually get people who want to go into the office at the moment I would rather be at home away from all this to preserve my mental health.

@1bx and that my friend is the problem, we have to google search to get any news, god forbid that employees are actually kept up to date before any media announcements.

@b6 What a rediculous comment. Moving to a smaller site nearby, that’s all. Do a Google search.

@c2 that is sometime next year, a smaller site not too far from where it’s now.
Nothing else communicated

@b6

Bracknell as a site has been on the watch list for a while. The site is too big for the headcount and in the expensive part of England. Not so much as an exit the UK strategy, but relocation to a smaller/cheaper UK HQ.

@b6 why on earth would 3M exit its UK business ? It's one of the biggest economies in the world with lots of auto and industrial customers. Honestly people on here post such nonsense

Hearing whispers that Bracknell isn’t just downsizing but actually going. If that’s true, is this the start of a wider UK exit strategy rather than a simple cost-out?

Also hearing the scope may extend across manufacturing roles, not just corporate overhead.

Anyone else hearing similar?
