Thread regarding IBM layoffs

I am sorry @OP but yes Albany is notorious for this for sometime now. There isn’t much you can do about it. My advice is find another role with another company onsite

@b6 what new people? They aren’t hiring much at all at my site, just summer interns . There are enough people to manage them as people are losing their direct reports

@aw - Who is going to train the new hires when so many of us don't even know if we are going to be around - I feel sorry for all these young interns who have been proudly announcing having being offered the internship at IBM. Soon they would realize all that effort they put in to land the job is going to get them nowhere and one day they would succumb to RA.

IBM has been a sh-t company for the past 10+ years. It is definitely not a place for a new hire or someone out of college to be and thrive. Look somewhere else.

Early in my career, I learned, Managers are useless pieces of sh1t. How can a stup1d, technically re--rded manager understand and rate my work ?
My most recent manager is a useless liberal art graduate, he has never coded a line or taken a computer architecture class. How can such an id1ot rate any work or understand it ?
