They said they wouldn't layoff and just hope for attrition or quits, but I just got laid off. Layoffs continue even when they say they're done.

I have been let go, notified last week. Will finish up in 2 weeks time. I’m grade 7 Eng been with the company 20+ years, I was the highest preforming Eng on my team. No sore feelings, was given a decent package. But just confirming that the layoffs are still happening and they are targeted. Based in IRL.
