Yo Mike.... u see the falling stock and low quality output leading to client problems?

So one thing that can help to think about: Does anyone look at or investigate what looks like obvious nepotistic promotion and hiring patterns?

Why are there so many teams 90 to 95 percent or more Indian in India or Indian last name when every US based office has max 5 percent Indian population in a US based company?

Why trying to force people not Indian out of the company with politics all the time? It is interesting optics at the least. How can anyone even feel like a part of a company when you see that going on without the specific last names.

You for sure telling us there's no illegal bias or this is just from merit? I'm not speaking of good employees of certain background. I worked at many tech places, but never seen anything similar.

More than half of the h1b Indians managed to bring their spouses in Fiserv. Many with no previous related experience. Shocking how they managed to do that. So not just the visa holders, also the dependents are making a bad situation worse.
I think the h1b , l1 holders should all go back unless they are so talented and it can be proved that the business depends on it. I bet at least 95% will not qualify to stay.

Again I don’t understand how you could hold the stock and observe some of the people working here. There’s definitely nepotism and favoritism, and it’s not toward the smart people.

I have someone from the area they describe on my team people have mentioned, and not all are like that. I bet you most Indian people don't like it either.

There are a few reasons it could happen including honest referrals or that we do business in the country. Zoom out and try not to become an ape. You will sleep better in Frank's America.

@b5 while it looks like all Indians do that, there is one sub group of Indians that do that. It’s well known in the Indian community who those people are. Most Indians want a more diverse team but this one group will prefer only their own. They hire only those that speak their particular Indian language. They will drive out anyone speaking other languages from the team. Most of the H1B abuses are by this group of people. Sadly there are many such teams at Fiserv.

You can’t outperform someone who dedicates consistent, focused time to learning—especially when that learning happens outside the narrow scope of their job. That’s where the real blind spots are: the things people don’t even realize they don’t know.

Being busy isn’t the same as being effective. If someone lacks the ability to think critically and instead doubles down on excessive hours, it doesn’t elevate their value—especially not to the point of justifying exclusionary attitudes.

So the guy calling Indians as “low quality “ people isn’t belittling? The job market is frozen because of the economy. Most companies including Fiserv have listed “no h1b support” on the job listings. Almost no one is hiring H1Bs at this time. There are thousands of IT jobs still available and due to the proclamation , Americans will be preferred! But the sad truth is many don’t want to work five days in office or have unreasonable pay expectations. The bigger issues is the lack of skills needed in the market. The guy supporting a Java 4.0 application is not going to be needed anymore! The great Americans of the past that built the IT industry have retired. They had incredible work ethic, innovation , instinct and passion. The ones we see now are “I have been here long enough that i am owed a hefty paycheck regardless of how little I contribute or how outdated my skills are”

And just because they seem to 'work longer and harder' for less money doesn't equate to better quality output. Sure a few may be stellar, but this is the EXCEPTION not the rule. The fact is the quality usually drops, the non Indian team members are excluded and ridiculed, and then they need to pick a scapegoat. And it will always be the person who isn't Indian. The toxic people will stay put, probably because of nepotism. They will need a bulldozer to get me out of here, this is America and I intend to keep taking my paycheck. While I figure how the heck to get out of here.
