Right, so, there’s been quite a bit of talk going round about possible job cuts coming this August. To be honest, it’s hard to know what’s genuine news and what’s just office gossip at this point. You usually only hear official word when it’s pretty much a done deal, or if something slips out in the rumour mill.

Email came through that a bunch of folks in TECH, the ATO (something to do with product/agile management) specifically, have been cut. One of the ATO Coaches sent the random email.

@b4 be careful with what you wish for. The job market is depressed, it’s very hard to find anything in any field, your package may be your last income in a while.
If you are unhappy, find something first and switch companies.
There were some layoffs this week. Not sure if there will be more.
I hope I’m the first layoff. Sick of this place and with 18 years in, a package would be welcome news.
