Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Leave Verizon and save yourself ( Mass resignation)

This company is literally thinking it can operate the daily works and tasks much easily without employees. Leadership doesn't care about employees. When there is no value to employees then what is the reason behind working here. Need mass resignation.

@b3

The word is, "owe," not "own".

And the phrase is, "Take it or leave it," not "Leave it or take it."

Let me guess: You're here on a visa and will do absolutely anything (legal or illegal) to keep your job, in order to stay in the USA.

Soulless $ellout

@OP why? The co. Does not own me anything other than my 40 hours a week...I do not own anything other than my commitment to do my work 40 hours a week in an acceptable way while there is still work for me....everything else is optional and perks...leave it or take it....and heck they offer a lot of perks....go somewhere else if you feel so miserably, no one is forcing you to work at VZ.....saying goes like the grass is not really greener somewhere else....just go and try and stop whining....it hurts your mental health

VZ is still bloated. There is still a room for 20%-30% layoff with no impact on business.

@OP Why don’t you be the one to start the mass resignation? Please? Oh, and goodbye.

Absolutely. I am looking around for the last two weeks. Those reading these sights do you honestly believe it’s going to get better for us here? It will mean a pay cut as VZ does compensate us well… if you don’t you may be in for a rude awakening. What makes you think that the RIF parameters will change?? We are blessed other companies just show u the door

Mass resignation in this market? LOL. People are not going to quit and become homeless because work is busy or there is no value. Right now is not the time to quit, just keep working until the time comes, then Adios.

All the "good" folks I work with are actively interviewing. So am I.
My guess is that the only ones who aren't may be the ones who realize that they will have a hard time finding a job in the current economy.

The companies have trained you to believe that you’ll lose everything is you walkout. Not if you walk out in mass, you have everything to gain.

You can’t! The system trained us well. They think you lose everything if you walk out but not in mass. If we leave in mass, the system has to service us again.
