Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Did ya'll get the "Enhancing your compensation structure" email?

What a joke. One time transition payment and a one time pay increase equivalent to the 2024 reviews we just got. Keep in mind, 2024 were the LOWEST pay increases and the lowest RRP awards handed out.
So now we know all those reviews, pay raises and bonus's were cr-ppy.... so they wouldn't have to fork out big bucks for this transition payment.

@ae the emails haven’t come out of what you’re getting yet, where are coming up with the 2%?

@ac if you watch the video it says bonus' are going away. This one time raise is to compensate for the bonus we will not get next year or future years. The raise will be based on the max you could have gotten and then the part year bonus will be a partial payment based on performance for the company for the year so far. There is no guarantee it will be 2% that was just the number used in the example. My bonus was no where near 2% last year and I received a 4 on my review.

Wouldn't it be amazing if all the VPs who have paid off their homes (you know who you are) with your stock options and enormous paychecks would follow the lead of Nintendo's former president and CEO.

For those of you who have retired, it's doubtful you are using UHC insurance for you and your family. You can afford the best of the best which is not what is currently provided to the 'average' retiree.

I don't challenging each and every UHG leader who organized out-sourcing while laying off American citizens with the following:

  • how many of those who you've laid off are eligible for burial in a national cemetery?

I will tell you who is of all the people you'd laid off:

  • Veterans
  • Children of Veterans
  • Spouses of Veterans

Some of you aren't even eligible though you are quick to cozy up to the government for contracts.

Bring jobs back to those who have made and will continue to make this country.

And what of the ones who unfairly got a two due to having a boss with mental health issues that MISCALCULATED a VPH who have been giving a 110 percent to get a minimum 3? Thats a sad situation to watch, and complete bullsh-t.

@b3

Nothing says you are getting a big raise at any time. Just that no future bonuses will be offered.

2025’s colossal failure means no one at any grade will get any raise in 2026, and possibly not in 2027 unless something changes fast.

Its clear the cost savings include substantial cuts to staff and cutting of staff comp/benefits.

You can easily see your salary grade in my hr. If you expand the selection you can go to employee info or whatever.

@ag my manager didn’t tell me anything, I got an email from uhg.

For the one time payment, I will not know yet.

@ac The RRP is not being combined fir us because there will no longer be any bonus for our grade levels.

@b3 There’s no guarantee of a specific merit increase. All that has happened is that our bonuses have now disappeared.

There is only ONE “transition” payment included with this “bump”. After that there’s only merit.

This is a good change. Most of you people are conditioned to just hate for no reason other than them being your employer. This gaurantee's raises that is more than the typical 2% you get annually. The only 'losers' in this are employees who score a 1-2 in their review.

@av All true, except "You do not get higher raises later." Employees will again be given another raise during February/March 2026 and every year thereafter.

Since no one is answering the question.

Starting next month grade 26 and below are ineligible for RRP (yearly bonus). They are doing a one time salary increase for those grade equal to the RRP bonus you received in March. After that you just get annual salary increases like normal and no bonus. You do not get higher raises later this is a one time mid-year bump for 26 and below.

the email says its only pay grades 21-26 and only if you got a 3-5 rating. Any idea how much the "transition payment" will be? they are being pretty vague how much that is

I am a grade 26 and I got the email.
I will be getting a 2% salary increase permanent and then some kind of half year “payment” that is one time. Not sure the amount of that. So roughly I am getting an $1800/year increase to my base salary.

If I recall correctly, the email said RRP will be combined with pay increases. There won't be a separate bonus, but, supposedly, pay increases will be higher. Although, it remains to be seen if amount of increased pay raise will fully compensate for the loss of RRP bonus.

@a5 around 11. It also said if you got a 1 or 2 rank your are not eligible for this "incentive" but will still be eligible for future pay increases.
